Welcome to Sml Fort Art Gallery

Based on the peninsula in the small remote eco tourism town of Kaikoura in New Zealand's South Island, sml fort is an artist run studio gallery showcasing a small selection of contemporary art.

Situated on the beach 3km from the Kaikoura township when heading towads the Point Kean Seal Colony, the gallery is opposite the historic Fyffe House, and a stones throw from the famous Kaikoura Seafood BBQ. View Map

Home and studio to resident artists Susie Lowndes & Matt Moriarty, the gallery gives locals and visitors to the region the opportunity to view or acquire a selection of their recent works.

"Our aim is to add a new element to the existing attractions of the region. Aside from our studio gallery, we also stock and exhibit our artwork with various dealer galleries. As artists, we value our dealer relationships tremendously and we are always interested in developing new ones."
